DSAT Trimix

DSAT Trimix

Why DSAT Trimix?

This ia cotinutation of where you left off in the DSAT Trimix65 course. It is comprised of three dives. Usually, students take this course immediately after DSAT Trimix65.  Although it happens, few students want to stop their training. If you have time contraints you can return at a later date.  Otherwise the 3 training dives are considered dives 6 - 8.

What do I need to start?

You need to be 18 years of age or older, PADI Rescue Diver certified (or an equivalent certification from another organisation), CPR/First Aid trained (within the last 24 months), and have completed DSAT TecTrimix65 (or an equivalent certification from another organisation).  You will also need proof of 150 logged dives, 6 of which should be to 30m/100ft or deeper, and 12 dives on EANx to at least 18m/60ft.

What will I do?

Dive 6 is conducted in open water as a trimix decompression dive to a maximum depth of 67m/220ft.  On this dive you will study the effects of extreme pressure on one or more objects, and deal with an emergency ascent scenario following all proper procedures

Dives 7 and 8 consist of planning and executing a trimix accelerated decompression dive using a table and/or multigas computer and using air, enriched air, low helium/high oxygen trimix and/or oxygen for decompression gases.

How long does it take?

The course generally takes 2 to 3 days.

What do I earn?

You will be certified as a full DSAT Tec Trimix Diver, which allows you to use decompression software and dive computers to plan and execute full accelerated Trimix decompression dives.
