Ready to take your diving to the next level? Our professional development program lets you join the ranks of the PADI pros through our Divemaster Internship. From there, you can set your sights on the coveted rating of Open Water Scuba Instructor through the PADI Instructor Development Course.
Coconut Tree Divers is proud to offer the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) under the direction of PADI Course Director Will Welbourn. This two week course takes certified Divemasters to the next stage of their professional development: the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. As an OWSI, you are professionally qualified to certify PADI Open Water Divers, Advanced Open Water Divers, Rescue Divers, and Divemasters.

For experienced divers looking to explore the deep recesses of Roatan's endless walls, we offer the DSAT Discover Tec Diving, Tec 40, Tec 45, Tec 50 and Tec Trimix 65 and Tec Trimix courses. Explore the freedom of Sidemount diving or perhaps even combine Sidemount and Tec, diving in configurations that are at the cutting edge of diving.
Learn the intricacies of the standard tec rig, decompression stops, gas planning and management, NOTOX gas switches, long hose gas sharing, emergency gas shutdown procedures, and extended-range mixed-gas diving under the supervision of our Tec instructors. You will be among the first to venture into unexplored territory in the depths of Roatan's fringing reef system.
Technical diving is not for everyone, nor is it a goal for all divers to aspire to. Rather, DSAT TecRec courses are for the small segments of divers looking for challenges and willing to accepted the costs, risks, training and physical fitness requirements necessary. In the face of these, not everyone is suited for TecRec. You can enjoy a lifetime of novel diving adventures without ever leaving recreational limits. No instructor is required to accept a particular individual into a technical scuba course.
